New Design

I was determined to stick with my simple design and focus on the posts but here I am! Spent the whole day trying to make a design that reflects me, that i like..

Ta Daa!! So this is my first design in photoshop! Yay, the purple haired confused looking fairy! :)

For those who want to create their own header, i will try to describe what i did briefly..

1. Create a new document in photoshop (i used 1000x400 with 100 dpi) and set the background transparent.
2. Make a new layer and using the rounded rectangle tool to create a rounded background for your header (i set the radius to 20px/anti alias) to the size you need it.. Remember, it can be big or small, depends on the effect you want to achieve.
3. Double click on the header to set a gradient overlay.
4. Find or draw some images to reflect your blog and arrange them as you wish.
5. Download a font from here or use the one you like to write your blog name in a unique fashion.

And to put your freshly created image to your page;

1. Layout>Template>Page Element. Click Edit on the Header bar.
2. Upload the image from your computer.
3. Don't forget to seleck Placement: Instead of title and description.
4. Ta daaaa!! :)
